1. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1.1 Matric / Grade 12. 1.2 Minimum of three (3) years managerial or supervisor experience. 1.3 Computer literate. 1.4 Excellent technical and problem solving skills. 1.5 Police radio control room or similar experience would be an advantage. 1.6 Proficient in English. 2. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Functional outputs and activities will include, but are not limited to the following: 2.1 Eskom Crime Line: 2.1.1 Ensure all enquiries are handled in a very friendly and professional manner. 2.1.2 Develop, implement and maintain escalation procedures. 2.1.3 Ensure all the appropriate Online Intelligence OB entries are made and ensure their correctness. 2.1.4 Compile reports and send them through to all the relevant parties. 2.2 Clamping and unclamping of tracking locks: 2.2.1 Supervise and ensure that all containers are clamped and unclamped. 2.2.2 Ensure that all tracking units are in proper working order. 2.2.3 Ensure data capturing of relevant information of tracking devices are done correctly. 2.2.4 Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports as required and send them through to all relevant parties. 2.3 Monitoring and Tracking: 2.3.1 Ensure tracking and monitoring is done according to operational procedures. 2.3.2 Ensure that all tracking units in use are in working order. 2.3.3 Ensure all relevant data relating to the clamping units is captured correctly on the appropriate system. 2.3.4 Follow up and ensure all outstanding information is received from the operational staff to ensure the smooth running of the National Operations Centre. 2.3.5 Compile log reports on the containers that were clamped and unclamped on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. 2.3.6 Ensure all relevant communication is send through to management, clients and third parties. 2.4 Emergency Scenarios: 2.4.1 Manage all aspects of emergency situations, incidents or high-jackings. 2.4.2 Analyse the situation and co-ordinate the available resources to recover the high-jacked load or handle the emergency or incident. 2.4.3 Delegate tasks to subordinates to ensure optimal effectiveness in recovering the high-jacked load. 2.4.4 Obtain all relevant information from the involved parties. 2.4.5 Report the incident to all the relevant parties. 2.4.6 Dispatch ground support teams and air crew as applicable and direct them as required, share all relevant information with them that will assist in the recovery or investigation. 2.4.7 Inform and get the local authorities involved as required. 2.4.8 Continuously monitor the system for updates and inform all relevant parties. 2.4.9 Execute any tasks required to ensure the incident or high-jacking is managed or recovered effectively. 2.4.10 Report the status of the incident to all the relevant parties. 2.4.11 Draw up reports on the incident and send it through to all the relevant parties. 2.5 General: 2.5.1 Oversee the day to day activities of the National Operations entre Operators and ensure that all activities run smoothly. 2.5.2 Monitor all operational activities to ensure targets are met and that all deadlines are adhered to. 2.5.3 Allocate the appropriate resources to ensure the smooth running of the National Operations Centre. 2.5.4 Ensure that all technical aspects for service delivery are set and is functioning properly. 2.5.5 Identify potential risks and take corrective action to minimise potential problems. 2.5.6 If problems occur, ensure the proper action is implemented. 2.5.7 Plan, organise and delegate tasks and responsibilities of subordinates effectively. 2.5.8 Review, evaluate and report subordinates’ performance as per company requirements. 2.5.9 Ensure all subordinates are following the correct operating procedures according to company, client and legal requirements. 2.5.10 Liaison between the NOC operators, operational staff, management, clients and third parties. 2.5.11 Ensure proper handovers are done at the end of every shift. 2.5.12 Take ownership of your position and your responsibilities as well as those of your subordinates. 3.
