Job Purpose: To maximize on
newspapers sales opportunities through
accurate orders setting, close customer
contact and feedback from the
distribution area
Main Responsibilities:
Organising and driving the circulation
operations
Maximize on opportunities for copy sales
Delivering new opportunities through
vendors, Agents and distributors
Efficient management of the value chain
Managing and coordinating the sales and
distribution assistants/SDAs and
Merchandisers.
Managing the returns’ levels
Review previous day’s performance within
the chain and set the day’s and weekly
print orders based on prevailing
conditions like news stories, weather and
economic situations.
Monitor performance through field sales
visits to vendors and agents and ensure
effective redistribution to avoid stock
outs and unnecessary waste through
Returns.
Resolve various distribution problems on
the ground identify potential sales outlets
and liaise with transporters for correct
deliveries and route optimization.
Reviews weekly payments with the
distributor and all other clients within the
Area of jurisdiction, collects payment on
due dates and ensures that the payment
reach the Circulation Accountant on the
agreed dates and time frame and no debt
is accrued at all times.
Organise client intimacy programmes in
liaison with the commercial manager
and /or Regional Team Leaders or /and
Country Manager with the distributor,
agents and vendors
Qualifications and Experience
Academic: University Degree
Professional: Diploma in Sales &
Marketing
Experience: 2 years’ working experience
Knowledge of computer applications
