Registered Nurse                                                            Our client a Medical Clinic is looking for a Registered Nurse to help them run their consultancy.
The main purpose of the job is to provide nursing care to the patients, reassure them and give them hope, as well as plan patient care, implement and assess the care given. Job ResponsibilitiesAdminister medication to patients Assist in procedures as a theatre nurse
Responsible for the organization, administration of all working areasEnsuring cleanliness of the clinic to avoid the patients getting cross infections, between staff, patients, subordinate staff and relatives or visitors to the facilityGetting the work equipment readyPatient administrationGiving verbal or written reports to other medical staff in the clinicPrepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatmentsAdvise patients on the different options for Family Planning Explain procedures to patientsEnsure all patients information is accurate, that they include detailed reports and recordsCarry out immunizationMonitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditionsRecord patients' medical information and vital signsMonitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and recovery rateEnsuring the inventory for the section(s) is up to date and plan when to replenish stockCreate a working budget
Academic QualificationsBachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent degree Be a registered Kenyan Registered NurseHave a Nursing Council LicenceMinimum of 1-3 years nursing experience in a busy hospital or clinic settingMust have experience in as a theatre nurse Should have good listening skills Ability to be friendly to the clientsGood communication skillsGood hygiene and safety standardsMust be empathetic Must be able to work late hours Have some experience in working with patients that need counselling
