Accountant HRD/ACC
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Finance, and the Accountant will be responsible for:
Filing Withholding VAT returns on weekly basis.
Follow ups on O/S issues to process payments and reconciliation of creditors statements
Reconciliation of staff debtors account and preparation of audit schedules.
Preparation of weekly payments and payables reports.
Implementing stringent expenditure control procedures by ensuring that any expenditure incurred is supported by valid accounting documents.
Receipting, analyzing & reconciliation of creditor statements.
Maintaining of the fixed assets register, raising staff vouchers on staff per diems and payroll, bank reconciliations.
Posting into Syspro software trade payables, direct debits and Petty cash vouchers.
Required Qualifications, Competencies & Experience;
.
3 years relevant working experience.
Experience with computerized accounting packages and a registered member of a relevant professional body.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, with full professional CPA or ACCA qualifications
Expert knowledge of accounting, auditing, financial and management reporting.
In addition, the candidate must have strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail and of high integrity.
