  • Provide technical and operational systems support to all mechanical equipment.
  • Implement and manage planned and general maintenance of process equipment, printing press and ancillary equipment.
  • Assist in analysis of recurring troubles or breakdowns and recommend improvements and cost saving measures.
  • Support continuous improvement and process efficiency through team contribution
    and involvement.
  • Supervise and train junior staff.
  • Provide reports as required.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience
  • NIC Mechanical Engineering or 4 years Fitter/Turner apprenticeship
  • Excellent verbal and communication/ comprehension skills and sound experience in printing industrial equipment.
  • Must be willing to work on/off shifts, seven-day schedule
Attributes
  • Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines and with minimum supervision
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Proven track record of initiative and creativity.

Description

The Key tasks for the position are:
  • Contibutes to the overall company Strategic Plan
    • Identifying key macro economic factors impacting on the product portfolios and the FMCG market in general and identifying market opportunities there from.
    • Introducing new products to foster profitability and growth.
  • Does a trend analysis of the market to design and run effective product promotions and advertising taking charge of the relevant budgets and the activities of the Brand Manager (Consumer)
  • Manages all the Sales activities for the Consumer side of the business by:
    • Managing the sales force and ensuring that the set targets for the channel are met.
    • Maintaining relations with all key customers.
    • Ensuring customer care is maintained at optimum levels through timeous delivery of orders and timeous attendance of customer queries.
  • Represents the organisation in all fora that generate value for the organisation.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience
Suitable candidates should have a minimum of :
  • A Business or Marketing degree qualification e.g B.Comm, BBS, ABBA
  • At least three years hand on selling and selling managerial experience, combined with:
    • At least two years marketing experience at managerial level.
    • An MBA/ MBL qualification would be an added advantage.
  • The candidate to exhibit, inter alia, the following personal attributes.
    • Be a good mentor and effective communicator
    • Exhibit proven selling exposure to FMCG products.
    • Have creative and effective marketing skills.
    • Have strong passion for targets and achievement.
    • Have ability to set team targets, lead and build team cohesion.
